Highly recommend one of these to folksThe manual sucks get your magnifying glass out. It just covers the operation of the light. There is no storage for the red and green lens covers although the body has what looked like a cap made like the switch cap but it is not. Then the lack of information from both Amazon and Streamlight afraid it would detract from sales if it was made know up front. This thing gets stupid hot on bright and Streamlight warns about it buried on theor website and suggest using lower setting most of the time. Which we are or should be aware of heat and bright LEDS by now. Still should have been pointed out up front. There is an issue with the charging , the light The red ligt does not switch to green to indicate full charge in some lights. Streamlight's answer charge 5 hours unit will be charged. Tech flaw that should have never been allowed to leave the factory. It gets old paying for products no matter what they are or who makes them and they come out to the customer to test and have to deal with the flaws. Lens storage not a big deal? It is one more thing to forget or lose andto keep up with, there is no forethought toward what it means for the customer.First impressions aren’t so great.. First off, this is described as a wide-flood beam pattern. This is the worst flood beam I have ever seen. Very narrow and concentrated beam. The “Flood filter” does almost nothing.I like the idea of having a low setting, and especially a red color for stealth ops. But the whole filter lens thing is not practical. Nor is the operation of the function button. You have to have a lightning fast finger to select the power modes.Lastly it’s bulky. Sticks off your head farther than any headlamp I have ever used. It’s pretty heavy, and with minimal cushioning, I feel like it could give you a pretty nasty bonk to the face if your fail at mounting this lamp. And the tilt mechanism is way too tight. I have to use both hands to adjust the angle.Just my first day impressions. While Streamlight used to be be my "go-to" brand for years on the railroad; I found their craftsmanship and quality have gone downhill substantially over the past 2 years. I have been through 3 of these just this year and have had problems with each one. Problems range from shorts in the wiring and the light flickers with each step, having to press the button 10-15 times to activate the light and now recently my brand new one won't stay in place due to poor assembly and the adjustment gears not working properly. I guess it's time to cut my losses and find a better light. Why do you need that babe?Well, you just never know!Flash forward to a couple nights later when we’re about to wind down for the evening and the power goes out. I’m using my phone flashlight and looking for our battery op lanterns. Per our protocol we usually go out and take a drive to see how far the outage goes and see if we can get a signal. I discuss this over with my husband and we both decide we need to get a few more layers on before we head out into the cold (no not that cold, just California cold). I’m headed to the front door when I’m about knocked on my you know what by the blinding light coming from my husband’s forehead. It was so bright I saw spots for quite some time but that was overshadowed by the sheer awe that we both experienced as my husband single-handling illuminated half our court with his forehead.Easily more than a 5-star purchase. This headlamp is amazing! This is my 4th Streamlight product. Use them on my duty weapons and needed a solid headlamp for caving and exploring abandoned gold mine here in North Georgia. This light is powerful and the 3 different levels of output are awesome. High is stupid bright with 1,000 lumens and an amazing hotspot. It is great in dark mines and caves. It lights up like the sun.The head straps are strong and solid. Mounted easily to my Petzel helmet. The colored filters are awesome also! The rechargeable battery is a huge plus! No more batteries to buy and the light can be recharged anywhere you have access to a USB slot.As with all my other Streamlight products it’s warrantied for life which is awesome! Only con to the light is that it’s all metal. Which makes rock solid, but it’s a tad heavier than some other plastic made headlamps I own like Petzel.Otherwise nothing else to me is a negative. My caving buddies have bought these and love them. Highly recommend this headlamp!I ordered one for hunting and fishing and was not disappointed. Damn light lasts a long time. I didn't use it from July until Oct and still had a full charge. Brightest light on the market. It will get a little warm when using for awhile though. I ordered another 1 it was so nice!!!La recomiendo, dura 4 horas la batería y muy práctica.
