Picked up this Ageen 13-Port USB C Hub for iMac 24 inch to use with my M1 iMac. The Ageen uses two cables to attach to your iMac, one that must be attached to a Thunderbolt port and the other to either a Thunderbolt port or a USB-C port. The cables are separate so you can choose which ports you want to connect to. NOTE that if you have the entry-level iMac with only two ports on the back, this will occupy both of them.The hub is made of plastic, but it's painted silver and looks okay sitting below my iMac. The cover to the SSD drive bay is metal to allow it to act as a heat sink. The ports on the hub are logically placed with ones that are plug-and-forget (specifically HDMI and Ethernet) on the back and ports you might want easy access to up towards the front.Installing an NVMe SSD into the Ageen hub was pretty straightforward and installation diagrams and tools are included. The Ageen hub handled everything I threw at it including working with some vintage B&W USB speakers. Speed is to be expected of a device with this many ports.The Ageen 13-Port USB C Hub for iMac 24 inch presents a nice and tidy way to add more storage and ports to your iMac while giving it a little lift.
